At WISE, our mission has always been to amplify, advocate, and celebrate women in the entertainment industry. Following the success of our first podcast series, Brown & Brilliant—which featured some of the most incredible South Asian women in showbiz globally—we’re thrilled to launch Oscars Get WISE!
This new podcast series highlights the journeys of Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning female and underrepresented filmmakers shaping cinema today. Hosted by WISE Founder & Executive Director, Vineesha Arora-Sarin, each episode features unfiltered conversations with visionary storytellers, exploring their creative process, challenges, and the triumphs that have led them to the Academy Awards stage.
Our debut episode kicks off with Kim Snyder, director and producer of the Oscar-nominated short documentary Death by Numbers. Her film is a powerful exploration of data, justice, and the impact of gun violence; her perspective as a filmmaker is insightful and inspiring.
At WISE, we believe storytelling shapes culture, and it’s essential to uplift the voices of those pushing boundaries in film. Through Oscars Get WISE, we’re creating a space where these voices can share their stories, inspire the next generation, and continue advocating for greater inclusivity in the industry.
🎧 Oscars Get WISE will be available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other major platforms. Stay tuned for upcoming episodes, and join us as we celebrate the storytellers shaping cinema's future.
